The Sigmund Delay unit from D16 Group Audio Software is one loaded delay. In fact, however you used to “treat” your delay returns, with plugins like EQ filters, saturation, panning, compression, limiting, what ever, it has now changed for the better. The Sigmund delay allows you to completely customize four separate (series/parallel) delay units and their repeats, like no other delay unit I have found. There is so much going on with the Sigmund delay unit that it took my 20 minutes, in the video demo, just to run through the parameters available. But that is just cracking the outer shell, as there is so much that you can do with the Sigmund delay.
The good folks over at D16 Group Audio Software call the Sigmund delay unit “High Quality Flexible Delay Unit” and that seems nice, but such an “understatement”. The Sigmund will not only “fit nicely into” so many sessions, but it will fill a void. For a long time music creators have desired a great sounding delay unit, but with more “tweak-able” parameters. The Sigmund is that delay on account of its extremely flexible routing of the four delays (series/parallel/and combination of those two) which is a good start. Add to this the amazing filter section, the saturation, compression, limiting, envelope filter, and the list goes on.
No matter what genre of music you are into, at some point in your music making, you yourself have longed for a delay just like the Sigmund. The Sigmund delay unit has everything you might need, when you need it, and it sounds great, without adding the effects, if you don’t need them. The Sigmund will be there for you if you want to destroy your repeats in creative, musical ways. But if you only need a single delay, synced to your songs BPM, well, it will easily do that too.
Once you understand what is going on under the hood of the Sigmund, you can hear new uses for it. Your songs will become great works of art in no time at all. The Sigmund works with any genre, and will be as easy or as complex as you want it to be. If you are looking to purchase your first delay, above your stock delay unit, I feel you cant possibly go wrong with the Sigmund Delay unit from D16 Group Audio Software.
